Annual Charity
Each year we support a Charity.
Normally we do this by giving a weekends skippered Charter away to be sold for the Charity. Sometimes our racing team also chips in.
In 2009 we helped Stuart Walker with his fund raising efforts for NSPCC, Avert Aids and Water for Kids. He raise about £6000 in total for them.
In 2010 we will be assisting Watchett Sea Scouts.
We have already had 2 trips introducing 9 Scouts and 3 Leaders to sailing a 40′ yacht. I have been impressed by the enthusiam of the Scouts, by the amount of food they can eat (unfortunately in some cases far too many sweets) and by the patience of the leaders.
